About
In the 2025–2026 season, award-winning music artist Aaron Hill was an Artist in Residence with Dayton Opera. He sang the featured role of Remendado in Carmen, The Gingerbread Witch in Hansel & Gretel, and performed Mozart’s Requiem and selections from West Side Story with the Dayton Philharmonic.
Mr. Hill has previously performed with Dayton Playhouse (The Glass Menagerie), TheatreLab Dayton (The Full Monty), Toledo Opera (Carmen, The Magic Flute), University of Louisville Opera (Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi), Bowling Green Children’s Opera (Buffo in The Princess and the Pea), and Bowling Green Opera Theatre (Apollo in Semele, Ciccio in The Most Happy Fella, Luiz in The Gondoliers, Così fan tutte, Street Scene, Cavalleria Rusticana, The Lantern Wedding).
Mr. Hill won first place in the Kentucky NATS Hall Johnson Spiritual Competition (2020) and second place in the Marjorie E. Conrad Art Song Competition (2018). In 2024, he was regionally recognized in the Miami Valley for leading and supporting musical theatre roles, earning praise for his charm and soaring tenor voice (Flight of the Lawnchair Man, The Hello Girls).
He holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Louisville and studied vocal performance at Bowling Green State University.
